Homebrew has been available on the wii for a couple years now, it has revolutionized homebrew on home consoles, and now the same homebrew you have come to know and love is coming in a more portable fashion.
Still in progress the Nintendo DSi Homebrew Channel manipulates the ticketing system found in the DSiWare Shop to install custom channels and games to your Nintendo DSi, all from the convenient SD card slot, while keeping the same ease as the first Homebrew Channel on the Nintendo Wii.
When released the Nintendo DSi Homebrew Channel will be available to all to use, freely, that's right this software WIIL NOT be sold for a profit, but rather as a free distribution to the public.
The Nintendo DSi Homebrew Channel, though will not be out for a while as means to install the software are unavailable at this time. Many people are involved in this project and are working as fast as they can to find ways to install this software, but as we see it now unless other means are found we will need an exploit to install this software. As stated previously we are working on this and hope to find one soon, with the release of a few DSi enhanced games in the future.

Drunken Coders have managed to use a save game hack through Ubisoft's Healthy Cooking Coach to produce a speed test comparison between the DSi and the DS, DSi mode VS DS mode.
